Ms. Amira Hussain was born and bred in Scotland and completed her MA International Business from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. After years working across London universities supporting admissions, programme support and the international student experience, her passion arose with working frontline with international students. She managed ERASMUS programmes, scholarship applications and supported visiting academics.
Ms. Hussain’s strength was in coordinating academic English and after she became qualified in English teaching – that along with her interests in international education led her to teach Business English, General English and IELTS across North Africa in Morocco and Egypt. In Iraq, Amira worked at a British Institute contextualising language and interactive group work to engage students in the world of English for academic and professional purposes. She believes in using communicative tasks to practise language in a relevant and meaningful way.
Ms. Hussain comes to the British Management University in Tashkent with a Master’s degree in International Business from the University of Edinburgh, TESOL Professional Certification, Prince2 Certification and a CELTA Certificate from the University of Cambridge (UK).
