Biography

Ms. Ella Maksakova is a native of Tashkent who earned her BA in English Philology from Tashkent State Pedagogical University in 2001. Since then she has been engaged in various international projects, like cooperating with the USAID and Norwegian consulting companies, where she worked on educational, humanitarian and entrepreneurial projects.  Ms. Maksakova has taught English to learners of different levels and ages, from complete beginners to university applicants, from teaching General English to developing an English for art and design purposes course for the members of Uzbekistan Academy of Arts.

Ms. Maksakova obtained her Master’s degree in teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL) from Webster University in Tashkent and became certified as a teacher of English as a foreign language in 2020. Her professional experience includes cooperation with Moscow State University of International Relations (MGIMO), where she has been teaching Academic English to first- and second-year students. In August 2020, she was also invited as teacher trainer to implement a series of online webinars to the English language teaching community of Uzbekistan.

 

Ms. Maksakova comes to the British Management University in Tashkent with a Bachelor’s degree in English Philology from Tashkent State Pedagogical University. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in TESOL from the University of Webster.
