Biography

Ms. Katherine Rick comes from Canberra, Australia and has over 12 years of experience teaching English for Academic Purposes, Business English, and managing language programs at universities in Australia, South East Asia, Central Asia, the Caucasus, and the Middle East. More recently, she has worked with private clients in quality management, designing English language courses, developing teacher training courses, and teaching English.

 

Ms. Rick is passionate about educational leadership, blended learning, program evaluation, staff development and TESOL instruction. She has co-authored her first book on the topic of blended learning called “Blended Language Program Evaluation” which was published in 2015 by Palgrave Macmillan. She really enjoys creating innovative curriculum tailored to student needs and loves teaching English.

 

Ms. Rick comes to the British Management University in Tashkent with a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics specialising in TESOL from the University of Melbourne, a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages specialising in Applied Linguistics and Japanese Language from the University of Canberra, and a CELTA (Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults) qualification from the University of Cambridge.
