Mr. Nodir Nurmatov is an emerging markets investment management professional with an 18-year-long track record of delivering innovative and sustainable solutions in project initiation, financial management, cost optimization and corporate restructuring. He has a successful private equity and entrepreneurship background in leading energy, real estate, infrastructure, and retail projects domiciled in the USA, Netherlands, Switzerland, Denmark, and Turkey.
Mr. Nurmatov has been advising the founder of Epsilon Development Company, a leading natural gas producer in Uzbekistan, on building the ESG (environment, sustainability and governance) framework and on the entry to international financial markets. He also spearheaded the turnaround strategy implementation for a luxury real estate developer in Tashkent.
Previously, Mr. Nurmatov served as Regional Director at Meridian Capital Ltd, a Hong Kong-based private equity fund, where he was responsible for covering Central Asian and Turkish projects in real estate, hospitality and oil and gas sectors. He was also Finance Director of PetroAsia Trading, a $500-million international oil trader headquartered in Switzerland and Netherlands, where he initiated the transformation of a multi-location entrepreneurial management model into a streamlined corporate structure with effective decision making and risk management functions.


Mr. Nurmatov received his Bachelor’s degree in International Economics from the National University of Uzbekistan and his MBA degree from the MIT Sloan School of Management (USA) with a concentration in business analytics and private equity. He holds a Certified Public Accountant license from the State of Alaska (USA).
