Course Description

The British Management University (BMU) has collaborated with the Digital Talent Academy (DTA) at the Henley Business School, University of Reading (UK) to offer the Digital Leadership in AI and Business Informatics professional course in Tashkent Uzbekistan. Students will spend 2.5 full days at BMU to learn advanced artificial intelligence and business informatics and technology trends from some of the leading researchers in the UK, and practitioners in Uzbekistan. Students will also partake in networking activities with IT leaders facilitated by BMU’s Industry Member Organizations. The professional course curriculum is designed based on the newest publication in the field (Liu et al., 2025), coupled with networking opportunities and international business exposure. The course is taught by Professor Liu Kecheng, Chair of Applied Informatics at the Henley Business School, University of Reading. The Digital Talent Academy (DTA) is a specialised unit within the Henley Business School, focused on digital skills training, leadership development, digital transformation and consultancy for a broad audience that includes business leaders, professionals, students and organisations worldwide. The DTA acts as a bridge between academic research and real-world digital skills needs, helping people and companies build capability in areas like digital leadership, analytics, technology use and AI-enabled tools.

Language of Instruction: English

Duration: The course is 2.5 days in length.

Commencement: Second half of 2026 (specific month and date TBC)

Tuition Fees: 25,000,000 UZS (Discount tuition fee of 20,000,000 UZS available for BMU alumni and BMU's Industry Member Organizations)

Meals: Three meals a day are included on June 13th and 14th

Target Participants: Professionals who are interested in artificial intelligence and business informatics and can study in the medium of English language.

  • Lecture 1: Core Concepts & Semiotic Foundations
    Understanding what business informatics is, how it is related to artificial intelligence, and how organisational semiotics frames digital transformation.
  • Lecture 2: Organisations and Information Systems
    How organisations behave as information systems and how informatics supports structure and planning, and artificial intelligence use in business.

Day 3

  • Lecture 3: Digital Transformation & Enterprise Co-Design
    From semiotic organisational analysis through co-design to business models and transformation.
  • Lecture 4: Transformation Strategy, Leadership & Ethics
    Bringing transformation strategy and responsible leadership into practice.
  • Henley Business School Certificate Award Ceremony and Dinner
Eligibility Criteria

 

Candidates must be professionals who are interested in business informatics and can study in the medium of English language.
