Lionel Huntley Henderson (BBA, MBA, DBA) is Dean of Postgraduate Programmes at the British Management University. He was previously Head of the School of Business and Management at the Sino-British College-USST, a joint venture between the University of Science and Technology of Shanghai and nine partner universities in the UK. He enjoys teaching accounting and finance and has taught students from undergraduate to doctoral levels. He has held several adjunct positions for other Transnational Education Partnerships, including Honorary Senior Lecturer for the Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) programme at the University of Aberdeen in Shanghai; Adjunct Professor for the International Master of Business Administration (iMBA) at Webster University in collaboration with the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. He was also a Visiting International Professor at the Emlyon Business School in Shanghai.
 

Lionel’s research interests are in Futures Studies and Foresight research and he is a Fellow of the World Futures Research Federation. He is particularly interested in how education, ethics, sustainability and compliance measures affect trade between developed and developing economies. Lionel has published in Futures: A Journal of Policy, Planning and Futures Research and is a reviewer for several academic journals. Lionel was previously Vice-Chair of the Education Committee of the British Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai. Lionel is a strong advocate of applied teaching and research that is relevant to industry and societal needs.
