Xenia Mathys was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, USA. She graduated from the University of Colorado in 2019 with a BA in International Relations and a BM in Piano Performance. Throughout her time in university, she taught Syrian refugees English and other subjects, both online and in person, interned as an English teacher in Voronezh, Russia, and tutored kids at a learning center in Boulder. After graduation, Xenia taught English, in Russia, Spain, and the US in private educational centers and in Uzbekistan as Fulbright English Teaching Assistant. In 2022, she completed her CELTA certification and in 2024, she graduated with a Masters in Transatlantic Affairs as a joint degree from the Fletcher School at Tufts University and the College of Europe, Natolin. In September of 2024, Xenia joined the faculty of the British Management University in Tashkent as an English Instructor.
