Nargiza Islamova is a lecturer at British Management University, where she brings a strong blend of academic qualifications and professional expertise to the classroom. She holds a Master of Marketing degree from the Schulich School of Business at York University, as well as an MBA in International Business from Cardiff Metropolitan University. In addition, she holds a University Certificate in Teaching and Learning from the University of Westminster and is a Certified University Teacher under the Erasmus+ CACTLE Project.

 

Ms. Islamova’s professional background spans over a decade and includes leadership roles in tourism, sales, marketing, and higher education across Uzbekistan, Canada, and the UK. She has worked in both the public and private sectors, including as a Senior International Recruitment Officer and Associate Lecturer at Westminster International University in Tashkent, a Marketing Specialist at the Future of Marketing Institute, and currently, as a Sales and Marketing Specialist at SchoolFinder Group in Toronto, managing accounts across the UK and Europe and supporting over 50 higher education clients.

 

As an educator, Ms. Islamova prioritizes a student-centered and experiential learning approach, integrating real-world projects and industry engagement into her teaching. She is passionate about preparing students for success in both local and global markets, particularly in the fields of business, marketing, and international education. Her research interests focus on the internationalization of higher education in emerging markets, with particular attention to transnational education in Uzbekistan. She is exploring how international universities operating in the region can overcome institutional barriers and build inclusive, globally diverse student communities that enrich the learning environment.
