All of our programmes are designed and administered according to the best global standards, taught in English, and give students an opportunity to obtain not only a University degree, but also either an international professional diploma or a second degree from one of our partner universities.
The main goal of all degrees offered by the University is to equip students with professional knowledge and practical skills that will always be in demand in leading sectors of the economy, both by employers in Uzbekistan and the neighbouring countries, as well as by international companies. This will give our graduates an opportunity for employment anywhere in the world and will undoubtedly make them suitable for challenging, well-paid jobs.
All students entering the University will enrol into the Foundation programme during their 1st year of studies. In the 2nd year, they will need to choose the undergraduate degree programme in which to continue their studies.
The University offers several Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree programmes with specialisations in Accounting & Finance and Banking & Finance. We also offer the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree programme that gives students core management knowledge and skills and allows them to choose a concentration in one of the four fields: Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Project Management, E-Business and Digital Marketing, and Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management (in Tourism and Hospitality).
The Pre-foundation programme is a 36-week programme for students who plan to study at the British Management University in Tashkent (BMU). The course enables students to develop the necessary skills to access a mainstream course whilst expanding upon their confidence and social skills. A strong emphasis is placed on the teaching of essential skills such as literacy and numeracy.
What makes our Pre-foundation Programme different?
ALL English courses will be taught by native speakers from the U.K., Ireland, USA, Australia and other English-speaking countries
Interactive group work will be used extensively to enable participants to communicate effectively in the English-speaking environment
Mathematics will be taught two languages: Uzbek or Russian to cover / explain the key concepts and then in English to prepare the learners for the English speaking environment they will have at the University
There will be the provision of extra tutorials when it is needed or in accordance with the specific demand or wish of students
Students who have successfully accomplished the programme will be able to enter BMU Foundation Year without IELTS certificates and the university Maths entrance exam.
The top 3 graduates of the Pre-Foundation Programme will be awarded an academic grant that covers 50% of the tuition cost of the University programme.
Programme outline
These courses are designed to help high school students or recent school leavers achieve the English language and Mathematics skills sufficient to enrol in the Foundation Programme in September 2022.
The Foundation programme is designed to facilitate smooth progression into our undergraduate degree programmes and a successful acquisition of international degrees and prestigious professional diplomas. The Programme is taught in English and covers both English language skills and core business concepts that students will use during further degree studies.
Upon successful completion of the Foundation, students will receive a Certificate of Completion, which confirms that they have attained the required standards in academic and business English, as well as in the course-related skills such as quantitative methods and IT for continuing into the University’s undergraduate degree programmes.
The Foundation programme has been developed with input from and will be quality controlled by, a top British university. It is administered during the full 1st year of undergraduate studies at the University and is required for all entering students. The Programme has the following structure:
