John Myer

Biography

Mr. John Myer is a talented educator in the fields of the English language, intercultural communications, and history. He began his academic career in 1991 teaching at elementary and high schools in Tennessee, USA. Looking for more international exposure, Mr. Myer moved to South-East Asia to work with Cambodia International Academy as Head of the Department of History and Social Studies and to coach the local basketball team. During his tenure at the Academy, he was instrumental in developing the comprehensive curriculum for his department and in preparing for the Western Association of Schools Colleges (WASC) Accreditation.

 

Upon this milestone achievement, Mr. Myer opened his private English Training Centre, where he served as Headmaster and Senior Lecturer for the full duration of his tenure. Later on, he was recruited by the best business university in Cambodia, CamEd Business School, as a Lecturer of English and as a mentor for students’ research projects. Prior to his teaching career, Mr. Myer served in the U.S. Navy for 10 years as a photographer and has also taken on various leadership roles in volunteer organisations.

 

Mr. Myer comes to the British Management University in Tashkent with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, a Master’s degree in Education with a license to teach in public and private schools in the USA.
