Michael David Jackson is an experienced education and training specialist from the United Kingdom, with over two decades of expertise in English language teaching, assessment systems, and teacher training. His career spans roles in higher education, international organisations, and the corporate sector, reflecting a strong commitment to innovation and professional development in the field of English language education.

He has worked as an English tutor and consultant for institutions such as the University of Hull, University of Sheffield, Oxford Prospects & Global Development Institute, and Education First. For the British Council, he has served both as an online English tutor and as a teacher trainer, delivering large-scale training projects for primary teachers in Bangladesh. His career also includes a long tenure at Qatar Petroleum, where he developed and led assessment systems and delivered academic and technical English programmes, including IELTS and TOEFL preparation.

In addition to teaching, Mr. Jackson has successfully designed curricula, placement tests, assessment cycles, and professional development programmes. He is recognised for his ability to carry out Learner Needs Analysis and create bespoke English courses tailored to student and stakeholder requirements. His leadership in project management, assessment innovation, and teacher training has consistently contributed to improved educational outcomes.

He holds a Master’s degree in TESOL from the University of Sunderland, a Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults (DELTA) from the University of Cambridge, a CertTESOL from Trinity College London, and an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Hertfordshire. He also completed professional qualifications in Learning & Development (CIPD Level 5) and Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA Level 3).

Mr. Jackson brings to British Management University a wealth of international experience, a deep understanding of academic and vocational English, and a proven track record of developing effective teaching and assessment systems.
