How to Apply?

 

Students who have successfully completed the BMU Foundation Programme by September, will be admitted to one of the BMU degree programmes of their choice.

 

BMU also accepts applications for the direct entry to undergraduate programmes.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

 

General Requirements

Applicants must have one of the following:

    1) Successful completion of a certified International Foundation programme; 

    2) Successful completion of the first year of an undergraduate degree course at a recognised higher education establishment in Uzbekistan or abroad;

OR 

    3) Any other equivalent qualification allowing entry to a UK higher education undergraduate course (e.g., International Baccalaureate).   

 

English Language Requirement

Applicants must have one of the following:  

   • An IELTS score of 6.0 or another English Language Test recognised by BMU; or  

   • Pass BMU English Exam (co-created and approved by the University of Reading); or

   • Completed their secondary education through the medium of English and gained grade C or above in GCSE English or its equivalent; or  

   • Successfully completed an appropriate International Foundation programme with a pass in an academic English module or equivalent.

  

 Mathematics Proficiency Requirement

Applicants must have one of the following:

   • Pass in Quantitative Methods I module on BMU Foundation Programme or equivalent; or

   • Pass in BMU Mathematics Entrance Exam

 

Requried Documents

   • Copy of passport / ID card;

   • Copies of previous education certificates and transcripts (International Foundation Certificate and transcript, International Baccalaureate certificate and transcript, university transcripts, A-levels certificates and transcripts or alternative);

   • Copy of English lnguage certificate or alternative. If not available, the applicant should register for BMU English Exam.

 

Tuition Fees (Undergraduate Programmes)

 

1) For the students progressing from BMU Foundation Programme and who had IELTS overall band score of 6.0 or above at the time of entry to BMU Foundation Programme, the 2025-2026 annual tuition fee is 32 000 000 UZS.

   • The tuition fee is payable two times per academic year in the amount 16 000 000 UZS before the beginning of each semester.

   • You can save 5% of the total amount or 1 600 000 UZS by paying 30 400 000 UZS for the full academic year before the start of the autumn semester.

 

2) For the students who entered one of the BMU undergraduate programmes via routes other than the BMU Foundation, or for those progressing from BMU Foundation Programme, but who had IELTS overall band score of 5.5 at the time of entry, the 2025-2026 annual tution fee is 40 000 000 UZS.

   • The tuition fee is payable two times per academic year in the amount 20 000 000 UZS before the beginning of each semester.

   • You can save 5% of the total amout or 2 000 000 UZS by paying 38 000 000 UZS for the full academic year before the start of the autumn semester.

 

3) For the students who have entered BMU on the 50% BMU Academic Grant and who have maintained the average GPA ≥ 2.0 for the whole BMU Foundation Programme, the 2025-2026 annual tution fee is 20 000 000 UZS.

   • The tuition fee is payable two times per academic year in the amount 10 000 000 UZS before the beginning of each semester.

   • You can save 5% of the total amout or 1 000 000 UZS by paying 19 000 000 UZS for the full academic year before the start of the autumn semester.

 

   • Students who have entered BMU with a grant (Ministry Grant, BMU Social Grant, etc.) will remain on their grants subject to satisfying all the grant maintenance requirements.
