Founding Team and Establishment of BMU
Founded in 2020 following a Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan,British Management University (BMU) was established in response to the national strategy to diversify higher education. BMU’s mission is to be the leading management university in Central Asia, recognised globally for educating innovative leaders and creating positive societal impact.
BMU welcomed its first cohort of students in 2020 and has since grown into a dynamic academic community. In 2023, the University moved to a purpose-built, state-of-the-art campus, supporting high-quality education and an active student life. Today, BMU serves nearly 1,500 students across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
BMU offers internationally recognised degrees validated by leading UK partners, including the University of Reading and Queen Margaret University. The University also maintains strategic partnerships with professional bodies such as ACCA and continues to expand its global and professional network to provide students with a truly international education.
