The University of Reading
BMU’s Foundation programme was developed in partnership with the University of Reading to ensure that it meets the standards of an international university foundation programme that prepares students for successful study in an English-language international university environment.
The University of Reading was founded in 1892 and is among the leading U.K. universities for research and teaching, ranked in the top 30 U.K. universities by Times Higher Education. Its Global Academy is a centre of expertise in supporting international students’ success in university study.
The partnership between the two universities is sustained by regular visits between the institutions, enabling faculty to exchange ideas and share experience. Regular quality assurance activities help to ensure that BMU’s programme maintains the highest academic standards and supports our students’ needs. Every year, a representative of the University of Reading visits BMU to award joint Certificates of Completion to students who have successfully completed the Foundation Programme.
While most students continue with their studies at BMU, these awards are recognized internationally and enable students to enter various bachelor’s programmes overseas. Thus, the University of Reading’s recognition of BMU’s Foundation Award provides our students with very valuable opportunities and it is a mark of quality that we are proud to carry.
