University grants

 

Standard Academic grant (for 4 years)

50% BMU Academic Grants are awarded to outstanding applicants with outstanding academic achievements.  All grant recipients must satisfy the following minimum criteria:

  • have IELTS ≥ 7.0 or the equivalent (APTIS ESOL Advanced C2)
  • the result of the BMU entrance exam is at least 20 out of 25 points or SAT Math 650+

The 2025-2026 annual tuition fee for 50% BMU Academic Grant recepients is 20 000 000 UZS. The tuition fee is payable two times per academic year in the amount 10 000 000 UZS before the beginning of each semester

 

Direct Entry to the 2nd year (50%)

This grant is intended for applicants with international education.

  • successful completion of 12 years (or more) of secondary education in an international program.
  • score 7.5 (with none of the components being lower than 6.5) or equivalent (APTIS ESOL Advanced C2).
  • at least 20 out of 25 points on the BMU or SAT Math 650+ exam.

Both types of financial support are provided on a competitive basis and are maintained throughout the standard duration of the program, subject to compliance with the university's academic performance rules.

 

BMU Social Grants (100%)

100% BMU Social Grants are awarded up to top 20 outstanding applicants from low-income families. Applicants must provide all relevant documents confirming their low-income status and satisfy the following minimum criteria:

  • IELTS ≥ 6.5 or equivalent (APTIS ESOL Advanced C1 or higher).
  • minimum 20 out of 25 points on the BMU exam or SAT Math 650+.
  • mandatory confirmation from the BMU admissions committee.

The winners are determined by the highest total score, which is calculated using the formula: 5 × IELTS + math score + interview score. All data is carefully reviewed by the Grants and Scholarships Committee.

 

Ministry of Education Grants (100%)

100% Ministry of Education Grants are awarded to outstanding applicants based on their academic achievements and their chosen specialities.  All grant recipients must satisfy the following minimum criteria:

  • The University does not conduct internal exams, interviews, or assessments for this grant. All entrance tests are organized by the State Testing Center.
  • Applicants apply through government systems and are enrolled at BMU only based on official lists provided by the Ministry.
  • All assessment requirements and procedures are set by the State and published through official government channels

 

Grant for Master's Degree (20%)

To achieve this, a candidate should satisfy one of the following criteria:

  • BMU and/or QMU undergraduate degree with at least lower second-class honours
  • IELTS score of 7.0 or higher, or equivalent (APTIS ESOL Advanced C2)
     

 

BMU Scholarships

BMU offers merit-based scholarships to recognize and reward academic excellence. BMU offers two types of scholarships, Gold and Silver.  Scholarship amount as well as the lists of students, eligible for the scholarships, is reviewed and updated annually. 

  • Gold Scholarship recipients receive 1,000,000 UZS per month for maintaining an annual average GPA of 4.0.
  • Silver Scholarship recipients receive 500,000 UZS per month for achieving an annual average GPA of 3.75 or higher.
