Kenneth Myers was born and educated in the United States. He holds a Master of Arts in TESOL and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
He has extensive experience in English language teaching, teacher training, and curriculum design across higher education and international development contexts. Before joining Samarkand International University of Technology (SIUT) in Uzbekistan, he worked as an English Language Fellow with Georgetown University and the U.S. Department of State in the Philippines, where he taught at Pamantasan Ng Lungsod Ng Maynila (University of the City of Manila) and led professional development for faculty and students.
He has also served as a Director of an Intensive English Program at Grayson College (USA), a corporate English Language Consultant for Ferrovial/Fluencycorp in Texas, and an English Speaking Nation Coach with American Councils in Uzbekistan, where he trained public school teachers and co-developed digital teacher training programs.
At SIUT, Kenneth teaches English, supports academic journal publication through pre-editing, and conducts research on the intersection of English language use and technology. His recent conference presentations in Uzbekistan have focused on artificial intelligence in EFL education and the development of “Uzbekistan English” as an emerging linguistic variety.
His professional interests include AI integration in language teaching, pronunciation pedagogy, and the sociolinguistics of English in Central Asia. He is fluent in English and proficient in Spanish and Esperanto.
