Recently, BMU delegation — Estela Eaton, Nafisa Yunusov, Eleanor Barker, Xenia Mathys, and Shakhlo Abdumutalova — took part in the TESOL Arabia 2025 conference in Sharjah, UAE, joining fellow professionals to explore current trends in English language teaching.
A major focus was the use of AI in the EFL classroom, including ethical integration, promoting critical thinking, and customizing tools like GPT for educational use. Sessions also touched on AI’s alignment with UNESCO frameworks and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
In addition, our BMU representatives attended sessions on mindfulness in teaching, humor in the classroom, play-based learning, and extensive reading in teacher education, each offering practical strategies to enrich student learning.
The experience provided valuable insights and inspiration to support more innovative, inclusive, and future-ready classrooms.
