BMU Welcomes New Students at Orientation Week 2026

 

British Management University welcomed its new students during Orientation Week 2026, marking the beginning of a new academic year and introducing first-year students to the university community, campus life and the opportunities available at BMU.

 

Throughout the week, new students had the opportunity to meet their groups, mentors and facilitators, become familiar with the campus and learn more about the academic and extracurricular life at the university. The programme combined introductory sessions with interactive activities, team-building exercises and opportunities for students to connect with their peers.

 

The first days of Orientation Week focused on helping students settle into their new environment. Through group activities and ice-breaking games, students got to know one another and began building the connections that will form an important part of their university experience. Welcome speeches and performances also introduced students to the BMU community and set the tone for the start of the academic year.

 

The final day of the programme was dedicated to BMU Fest: Cartoonverse, held on 18 September under the theme “Celebrate becoming part of BMU”. The event brought students together for an afternoon and evening of creative performances, competitions and entertainment.

 

As part of the festival, student groups prepared themed booths, which were subsequently evaluated by a panel of judges. The main performance programme followed the theme “Into the Cartoonverse”, with students from different groups collaborating to bring well-known animated films and characters to life.

 

The performances incorporated a range of formats, including musical and theatrical presentations, interactive games, cartoon-character challenges, rebus activities and tongue-twister competitions. The collaborative format encouraged students from different groups to work together and demonstrated the creativity and team spirit developed throughout Orientation Week.

 

The evening programme continued with a presentation by BMU's strategic partner Monix, followed by a performance by Double Touch, a special appearance by Sabina Mustaeva, and a DJ set by DJ Sam, bringing the festival to a close.

 

Orientation Week 2026 provided new students with their first opportunity to experience the academic, social and cultural environment of British Management University. More than simply an introduction to university life, the week marked the beginning of their journey as members of the BMU community.

 

Orientation Week 2026 has now come to an end, and a new academic year at British Management University has officially begun.
