British Management University is proud to announce that Associate Professor Zarina Fayazova has published her research article, “Boundary Value Problem for a Fourth Order Sobolev Type Mixed Equation,” in the international peer-reviewed Journal of Mathematical Sciences (Springer Nature).
The Journal of Mathematical Sciences is published by Springer Nature, one of the world's leading academic publishers. The journal is indexed in Scopus and ranked Q3 in the Mathematics (miscellaneous) category, reflecting its international recognition and contribution to advancing contemporary mathematical research.
In her article, Associate Professor Fayazova investigates a boundary value problem for a fourth-order Sobolev-type mixed equation. The study provides a rigorous mathematical formulation within Sobolev spaces, establishes the existence, uniqueness, and stability of solutions, and derives a priori estimates that contribute to the modern theory of higher-order partial differential equations. The findings have significance both for fundamental mathematical theory and for applications in continuum mechanics and mathematical physics.
This publication demonstrates the growing research capacity of British Management University and strengthens the university’s international academic profile. Publishing in a Scopus-indexed Springer Nature journal highlights the quality and global relevance of BMU’s research contributions in advanced mathematics.
In addition to this achievement, Associate Professor Fayazova was invited in 2026 to serve as a peer reviewer for the Journal of Mathematical Sciences. Her review activity was formally recorded through Springer Nature’s Editorial Manager system, reflecting the editorial board’s confidence in her expertise in differential equations and related mathematical fields. Through this role, she contributes to maintaining the quality and rigor of international scientific publications while representing BMU within the global research community.
